The District of Columbia Pageant is presented by the DC Seniors Cameo Club, under the direction of State Administrator Ms. Stacie Mack, ALM, CDP, Program Director of Seabury Resources for Aging.

MS DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA SENIOR AMERICA 2019, TRINETTE CHASE

Ms. District of Columbia, Trinette Chase CONGRATULATIONS to TRINETTE CHASE, Ms District of Columbia Senior America 2019 and the wonderful Ms. Senior D.C. Pageant team for a fabulous Queen!

Janice Trinette Chase was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. She attended public schools there graduating from Roosevelt High School. She has always been encouraged to pursue her dreams. During her young adult years, she attended Montgomery College to pursue the study of Metal Smithing (Jewelry) and Howard University for Fashion and Merchandising. Trinette owned and operated a hair design studio for many years. She also worked with many hair and fashion shows in the area including the National Urban League and the Congressional Black Caucus, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and the Ms. Black America Pageant.

In addition, she launched a venture known as Cinnamon Babies Design “Keeper of the Culture,” a doll line that features dolls of diverse cultures. She is a cancer survivor who has dedicated her life to helping others through an organization namely “Seniors Offering Unconditional Love” (S.O.U.L) whose mission is to encourage others through their journey of healing. She is also an advocate for the homeless.

Trinette volunteers her creative talents as a sewing instructor for an intergenerational group in the Capital Hill area of the District. Through her class, she is able to instruct her students how to use their creative talents to sew various forms of work using different materials and fabric.

She has received several awards for her art and volunteer services to seniors through Seabury Resources for Aging. Her special interests include Reading, sewing, jewelry design, yoga and Fine Art Doll design. Trinette has three adult children and seven grandchildren whom she enjoys spending time with and helping through the various stages of their lives.
