SYNI CHAMPION

Syni Champion is a performance poet, author of the motivational book of poetry, “ABC’s of Self-Esteem”, and creator of “G.L.O.W. Girl World”, an empowerment through poetry and creative movement program for young girls. Syni teaches in the studio and online.

A  motivational speaker, Syni fuses her poetry and “LIFE GUIDES” including, “Health and Wellness”, "Friendship” and “Creative Living” into her presentations. Syni has a BS Degree in Speech Education from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio and Minored in Theatre Arts and Sociology. She studied with dance masters of the Dayton Ballet and the Joffery Ballet.

Syni has conducted Self-Esteem workshops across the country and has choreographed projects for Jr. Miss Pageants and Sorority Debutante Balls. She is a former runway and print model and hosted a TV show titled, "Everyday People". She was featured on TLC television for her work with girls in dance and poetry performance. She has positive reviews from the L.A. Times for her work with the L.A. Women's Shakespeare Theatre.

Syni was recognized in Sacramento, CA for her "Outstanding Service to Youth" at the Natomas N Factor Awards. A poem she wrote for the dedication of the sculpture, "Shadow Flowers/Reflect", located in Sacramento, will be permanently displayed alongside the sculpture. Her empowerment writing credits include crafting a curriculum for the National Organization, "Justice for Girls."

"I  am humbled by the beauty in this world and do what I can to help alleviate the suffering. I perform my poetry whenever and wherever I can. I know without doubt that the pen is mightier than the sword. I am blessed with a loving family and friends."

Syni is a wife, mother, grandmother, mentor and nature lover.
