MS ALABAMA SENIOR AMERICA 2014, RENEE PIERCE
On August 9, 2014, Renee Pierce became the 28th Ms. Senior Alabama at Wallace State Community College in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre, in Hanceville, Alabama. She played a rousing piano solo and charmed her way into the hearts of the judges and the audience. Her smile, poise, and talent was a tremendous factor in winning the crown. Renee loves to arrange music and direct choirs throughout the State of Alabama. She is a member of Who's Who of American Women and American Educators. She has served as Adjudicator for the Alabama Vocal Association and was certified "Highly Qualified" teacher by the Alabama Department of Education.
Renee has a great interest in writing music. She has also co-authored a book with her husband entitled, "Songs of Christmas and the Stories Behind Them." She has served as an Adjunct Music Instructor at Snead State Community College and was Choral Director at Boaz High School where she led the Concert Choir to superior ratings in State Competition. Renee is married to Tommy Pierce and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. She resides in Boaz, Alabama where she works as the music associate to the music director at her church, is a private piano teacher, and teaches high school students on-line Arts Survey through Troy University and the Alabama State Department of Education.
